CWAAS_20 Course Description

Cisco Wide-Area Application Services (WAAS) V2.0 is a five-day, instructor-led, lab-intensive course that is aimed at providing network specialists with the knowledge and skills needed to Design and deploy a solution using Cisco WAAS that improves application performance over the WAN while enabling infrastructure consolidation. This includes the ability to design, implement, and configure some of the primary components of the Cisco WAAS architecture, including:

  • Cisco WAAS Wide Area Engine (WAE) as a Central Manager(CM)
  • Cisco WAAS WAE's as WAN application acceleration appliances
  • WAN TCP traffic interception and acceleration
  • Cisco WAAS Application Optimizers
  • Cisco WAAS Mobile

Prerequisites

To fully benefit from this course, it is recommended that you have the following prerequisite skills and knowledge:

  • Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP and associated TCP/IP applications, equivalent to those learned in Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1)
  • Operational knowledge of Cisco routers, equivalent to those learned in Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1)
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking technologies
